Final...ballot's....are....seeeerved

Tyson and Josh battle moments after the final poll is released
ALL TRANSACTIONS SO FAR: Josh adds John Chiles drops Marcus Wright, Bryan adds Oglesby drops J.Hemingway, Frederick adds Austin Jones drops D.Evans, Beringer adds Monte Ball drops Castille, Tyson adds Rodney Scott and Tuinei-Oregon and drops Catchings and Andrew Jones.
----Tyson/Beringer trade Jamal Berry for Danario Alexander

a few things....remember 4 teams make the playoffs this year....everyone gets 6 transactions this year, trades/adds count as one, trade deadline is week 4......schedule will be out soon....remember in order for a WR to gain RB status he must have 12 or more rushing attempts in a game to get it, he doesnt get 12 the next week he then loses his RB status. Also if it is announced a player is switching positions that would be another way. Basically we will monitor the few situations that arise and do our best to make the right call on these......Start putting in lineups right now if you want.....to the final ballot
As always I will include team write ups for each team from those of you who included them on your ballot

Tick, ranked #2, 3.81 average, 2 1st place, 0 last

If his first three RB's can stay out of the buffet line they will be fine. Mr. Johnson....mini Adian Peterson Chris whaley is coming for all your cheap TD's from a year ago!!!!!! His 4th and 5th round recievers are solid as I wanted both. He also had some good middle round picks and I feel Cierre Wood can make a little noise in irishland.

I really like this team, and the only thing holding me back was that his qb plays in the SEC. I know qbs have put up numbers in the past in the SEC, but the conference is known for their defense. I really like what he was able to do in round 5 and 6 with his receivers

Craig, ranked #1, 3.56 average, 2 first, 0 last
I hate to put him here because he seems to be a lock for a playoff spot each year, but he needs a lot of luck at the wr position to get some points. As always, he has the best depth at back, but he chose his qb with his heart instead of with his head. I have a feeling he will prove me wrong though...

Solid three at RB. I was eyeing Minor a bit but did not know if I wanted to taste all his pre season koolaid hype. J Thomas might be ok for ya as well. You are in the same boat as I in the WR department....someone please step up!

Josh, ranked #11, 8.36 average, o 1st, 3 last

Colt will be fine...but he could have done better than Ben Tate in the 2nd. I see a sharp decline, however knowone has any clue who will emerge for Ole Miss at RB...will bolden be the man?....not a bad 4th round pick...decent gamble. Wr's are fine...really like the Fayson pick as he might have better numbers than Benn this year. All in all I feel that his team will struggle with inconsistant play.....but if Brandon Kinnie puts up Dez like numbers than call me an idiot.
He was able to get the best qb then follow it up with 3 good backs and that will equal fantasy success for him. He has got a good #1 wr and needs to find a solid #2 to make a push for the top of the league.

I don't have much to say about his team. I always hear he is a fanatic but he never shows it with his draft.

Tyson ranked #12, 8.72 average, 0 1st, 3 last

I think I had him worst last year too, if I remember correctly. Masoli had a sweet bowl game last year and plays in the Pac 10, but I'm not completely sold on him being an early 2nd round pick. Great #1 back, but nothing else in the backfield...or at wide out.

tough call on who I think is the worst, could've been about 4 different teams. I'll give it to Tyson as Hardesy, McKnight, and Toston are gonna be part time players, and I don't see Quizz Rodgers putting up first round numbers. I don't think Masoli will keep up the pace he was on at the end of last year either.

Ballot part 3 of 4

Final ballot will be released soon with the remaining 4 teams....The results will definitely surprise everyone I think. So far we got...

1. ? ? ?
2. ? ? ?
3. Chris
4. Mike
5. Frederick
6. Troy
7. Kobza
8. Beringer
9. Bryan
10. Darrin
11. ? ? ?
12. ? ? ?

Chris Long ranked 3.....average rank was 4.18....3 1st place votes....0 last place

Best and Brown will both be studs if they can stay healthy and Pryor is gonna put up some nice stats in the shitty Big 10. Benn and and Lafell will both be good and I think Ford will end up starting at Illinois.

Chris- I thought I would be the only one who thought Pryor was a 3rd round qb. This guy will be drafted in round 1 next year. He's got 2 great backs, a great qb and a great wr in Benn. See you in the playoffs.

Troy ranked 6......average rank was 6.27....0 1st place votes....0 last

Top three teams were all very close as well. Ingram and Helu will both be solid, Floyd and Broyles will catch a ton, and Juice is a lot better in fantasy then real life. If lineups were only five players instead of six, he'd probably be my #1, but he doesn't really have a good guy to put in there as his flex.

I feel that Alabama is not going to live up to they're hype this year along with Ingram. Helu went a little high but he rebounded with a couple Recievers that have a ton of potential (Floyd,Broyles.) Juice is getting a lot of hype...but he will be inconsistant again this year because Zool is kind of a wizard. He completely wiffed on Dufrane in the 7th round but grabbed a stud in the 12th round in David Wilson.

Ballot part 2 of 4/Oatmeal

Frederick ranked 5......5.27 average rank......3 first place votes......1 last place

Would've been a lot higher had Darren Evans not just torn his ACL. Still got Blount, but will need either of his Texas RB's to take over that #1 role. Otherwise, he will struggle.

He had a strong start to this draft in Blount but I see split carries for Va tech so Evans may have a falloff. I have a feeling Kansas will disappoint on O a little but play knowone with much D so he should be fine. Lance's favorite Notre Dame player ever "Golden Tate" will be fine....he does...Lance thinks he has the coolest WR name ever so loves the guy. The middle of his draft is weak as he did what I used to do which is a very bad habit...drafting multiple RB's off the same team. The Texas and Oregon backup RB's he took may not even hardly see the field...burning valuable middle round draft picks.

He's got a Big 12 qb, the top rb, a very solid #2 rb and 2 wrs that will consistently produce. He just needs to develop the swing position on this team and he will be the team to beat in this league.

Mike ranked 4.....5.18 ave rank......1 1st place vote....0 last place

I don't like most of his team after Bryant. Dwyer's gonna share touches with about four other guys in the backfield, plus all his other backs will be splitting time as well. Corp won't put up great numbers either as he will be more of a game manager for USC this year.

Got the best wr by far in round one, and totally worth it. If Corp is the starter for the whole year, then Mike's team jumps 4-5 spots, but I said 'if'.

Dez is the best WR in the league and Dwyer could push for 1,800 total yards. Corp may not start so it is good he got Barkley but USC will just have him "manage" games. Overall I don't like his team much cause of QB play and RB depth.

Kobza ranked 7.....6.45 ave rank......1 1st place vote....0 last place

Spiller seems to dissapoint every year and he's all in with Penn St's offense, which will not be nearly as good this year. I like his picks of Gresham and Anthony Allen though.

He was smart with goin with 3 straight backs with his first 3 picks, I like Royster better than Spiller and his team will ride on the shoulders of Daryl Clark.

Spiller is a question mark..royster will be fine....I have no clue on A Allen as G Tech has 50 RB's and if they sped it around like I hear they will then who knows what his numbers will be? Had a weak backend of the draft.....but Jordan Mackovicha will be solid in the 19th round.

Preseason poll part 1 of 4

The preseason poll will be released in a series of 4 differnt posts each containing numerous teams. Teams won't be released in order but there will be a method to it. Here is part 1 of 4.

Oh yeah I will include "team recaps" from people who included them in their votes.

Coming in ranked #9 is Bryan....6.63 ave rank...0 1st place votes....1 last place

I have no clue how his team will turn out?? I would have been picking a shit ton of young RB's in the middle rounds searching for some talent....Madu that early was a bad pick unless injuries happen for OU.

Waiting until round 4 to take your first rb is going to kill him, especially since it is the most important position in this league. Tebow is a stud, but will he be the fantasy stud of '07? Good work on the wr's, even though some talk of Briscoe being day to day lately.

To put it simply, not grabbing a RB in the first three rounds was a mistake. Has no stable RB's now and needs Caleb King to grab the brass ring and be a decent back. Will stay in the hunt with Tebow and McCluster. Better hope Briscoe decides to go to class too.
-------------------------------------------------------

Darrin ranked 10...7.36 ave rank....0 1st place votes....3 last place

Do not like Washington as his first back as I think his stats will take a massive hit this year. I think Stafon Johnson could have his best year and Rainey will be sporadic. Bradford and Shipley will give him most of his points.

I am in the minority in terms of D Washington having a really good year again...I feel he will and made a great pick that late in the 2nd...It was Washington or masoli for me at 9 coming down. Stafon Johnson was a pretty good pick in the 5th.

His top rb, qb, and wr are as good as they get in this league and will score a lot of points. If he can fill out the rest of his starting line up then he will make a strong push for the playoffs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beringer ranked 8......6.54 average rank.....0 first place votes.....1 last place

Pretty solid team all around, but his RB's lack the big punch it will take to win this league. Really like his receivers as Meier will catch a ton and Tennell could be a stud.

I passed on Running Zac Robinson because I see a decline in his numbers this year. Hunter and TOSTON will run the ball a lot and I see them still as a run first team. I like the Castille pick in the 4th and bubba also had some nice middle round picks

First 2 picks are very solid and needs some #1 guys to under-perform or get hurt for Castille and Meier to put up some consistent numbers.
