AUBURN — Last year, Mario Fannin's ripped and muscular physique made him stand out even among a stout group of running backs.
Now, when he stands next to his new teammates — lean and stringy outside receivers — he looks even more out of place. Factor in the shoulder pads that he's been wearing this weekend to protect his tender arm, and Fannin seems positively gargantuan as he runs sideline routes.
Even so, the first two days of Fannin's transition from running back to receiver have been promising.
