Just one more day

One more day!!!

I shit you not...this picture was placed in L.A. newspapers by UCLA.

Softball guy

Picture taken at Mahoney fields tonight.

FYI....In this league here Frederick is EASILY the biggest "softball guy".

Wow

Just by seeing these pictures I'm gonna have to assume Julio Jones is going to be pretty damn good.

Afternoon Oatmeal

Only 48 hours and 10 minutes until college football officially starts. I also sent out the e-mail
with the schedule, if you did not get it let me know.

Until then these may help pass the minutes. Oh and check out the new youtube.

Best 8 dollars ever?

I think so. After seeing these stars I can now die.

Also I wanted to report that I saw a dude in a Alvin Mitchell Huskers basketball jersey. I shit you not. #11 and it had "Mitchell" on the back of it. It had to be a Alvin Mitchell jersey. Allow me to apologize now for not getting a picture of it.

Frederick aka Wacky Stunt Guy...

has some competition

http://donchavez.com/blog/index.php/2008/08/19/hot-chick-mac-n-cheese-best-weekend-ever/

Message to Wisconsin folk, your friend Frederick is known to us as "will do crazy and stupid wacky stunts for attention" guy. Among other things. He once ate fire crackers for $20 freaking dollars. And they were light.

Another that "guy"

was spotted tonight at the Poison concert. One might simply call him a douche. We will call him "wears cutoff flanels with a bandana to concerts" guy. I figured it was a given a take a picture of him and post it up. As a matter of fact this may become a staple of the site. Anyways back to this guy below. I am guessing he had about 37 Old Milwaukee's Best cause this dude was out of control. Oh and on a side note Tick said there is a 90% chance he works at Kawasaki.

Ode to our Wisconsin visitors

Seems Mr. Frederick and the Wisconsin folk are getting a long quite nice. It is good to see some
visitors here though so I figured a post dedicated to them was fitting.

Bet of the day

Mr. Betus.com was bent over the table this year. Now it is time to yry for next year. Apparently they did not see the addition of Mo Williams over in Ecuador and the odds are still the same at 18-1. Considering the Cavs took the defending champs to the wire with Lebron and 4 clowns I will take my chances after adding a legit #2 player.

10 more looooong days to go

Coach update

Told you that you were going on here.

Ryan Beringer, August 16th, 2008 appx. 8:00 p.m.

Also being back in D.C. for the evening you knew me and Bryan would fire up some Tecmo.

Game 1: Bryan/49ers 28, Me/Oilers 17....Rice rubbed me, 2 crucial picks thrown by Moon

Game 2: Me/Raiders 17, Bryan/49ers 0....little to no offense in this game

Game 3: Me/Bears 21, Bryan/Broncos 0....Neal Anderson goes nuts with 201 total yards, Elway completes 16% of his passes and tosses 3 int's. Oh and the Broncos ran ONE offensive play in the first half

Game 4: Me/49ers 60, Bryan/Bears 0....not even sure what to say here

Required viewing

(Disclaimer: maybe I am just a complete douche bag but I got goose bumps on my arms wathcing these. *Note: I am not joking at all) (part II, I have often seen top 10 list with Wisconsin as the top party school and for must see venues for games and now I will never doubt said lists)

If these don't get you ready for CFB nothing will. Major props to the Wisconsin Badgers and their fans here. Jesus H. Christ this would be a good time! These are 5 more reasons (of about 15,107) of why college football blows the NFL away. NFL = nap time.

Note to Notre Dame, PLEASE schedule a home and home with the Badgers!

After watching these Aaron Frederick is thinking "fuck I spend 5 grand a year on Husker season tickets to see lame boring games and these fuckers are having the times of their lives."

3 more ballots/write ups

Bryan - 2 WRs with the first two picks. Wow, and well done. That is a position he won’t have to worry about and will score a lot of points from. However doing that made his RBs a bunch of long shots. There is a lot of potential there and I do like his sleepers at RB, especially Carter from UCLA. For as well as Reesing did last year, I was surprised he lasted until the end of the 5th round. I know Kansas is unlikely to repeat last year, but Bryan got a solid QB after four picks. If he found the sleepers at RB, then he’s got a playoff team.
Best pick: Todd Reesing QB, rd 5. Worst pick: Antoine Smith RB, rd 3.
-------------------------------------------------
Darrin - His first two RBs weigh a combined 500lbs. Hill will lose some carries to backups and Lane won't be used as much in A&M's new offense. Kelly should be awesome, but Carr and D Williams will disapoint. Ganz won't have the gaudy numbers from last year, but his backup receivers could turn out well.
--------------------------------------------------
Kobza - He was very smart with his RB picks and grabbed a very good QB in Colt McCoy. McCoy is somewhat under the radar because he makes up for average passing points with rushing yards and tds. With a good QB in Georgia, I really like his 10th round pick in Massaquo and the same in the next round with Tommy Sanders. This team is all around solid without any great strengths or glaring weaknesses.
Best pick: Mohamad Massaquo WR, rd 10. Worst pick: Glenn Coffee RB, rd 7

Update on Ticks softball escapades

Remember that post about Tick getting kicked off the softball team? Well the captain off the team kicked him off and then today sent him the following message on myspace.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

go ahead & get ur team, have fun...do ur thing. I don't hold anything against you, I just don't particularly care 4 u...nothing personal, we're just not the same type of ppl. And as far as being the worst player...I actually think ur whole new team will b able 2 take u 2 new lows. I'll repeat my earlier comment 2 u, I didn't make this decision myself. U can count the other 1/2 of the team 4 making that call. I had 4 ppl tell me they wouldn't play if we didn't have backup 4 u, again, the last player 2 pay. I actually battled w/ ppl 2 have u on the field tonight, not an easy decision. I wrote out the roster, but wasn't my sole decision. Hate me, I could care less, just realize that I wasn't the only 1 that didn't care 4 u on the team, I was delivering the collective message. I'll take full responsibility though, it's really kinda fun 2 hear the last 2 months worth of comments from everyone else replaying.Either way, I don't care what u do, who u tell, the shit u talk, u don't matter 2 me. What is truly the most fun is how u immediately ran 2 Mike 2 fight ur battles...funny even now. I guess those that play 2 win r those that I play with 3 other nights a week...oh & we took 1st place in r other 2 leagues...oh gosh, I 4got, I play 2nd on those teams 2...no problems there either & we have outfielders that can both field & hit...shocking 4 u I'm sure. Go on with whatever u do.

ps-we will STOMP your ass next year in the league you fucking asshole!

Morning Oatmeal

Off work this morning for a couple hours while our slater gets fixed so I figured
you all could use a pick me up.
But first some required wathcing, upset with fumbling problems in practice the defense is now
encouraged to actively taunt a RB who fumbles. Read about this for a while and now there is
video, 2:10 mark you can see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0nIzSLRXAg
Also you guys can see Elkhorn native Trevor Robinson on this play, you might remember him.

random ballot I got, tons of people had break downs on ballots this year, love it!
10. Tyson - Arian Foster saves Tyson from having the last place team. Took Juice and McGee WAY too high, and Benn is a stud, but might struggle with inconsistent QB play. If you're going to pick a bunch of guys from one team, Illinois is not the answer. Desperately needs another receiver to step up with the loss of Ingram and his Texas RBs are going to split carries. Would be best served playing Crompton every week.

Nate Longshore could win the quarterback job over Kevin Riley.
There's still about a week to 10 days before a decision needs to be made as earnest preparations begin for the Aug. 30 opener against Michigan State.
But folks who've watched more than a handful of practices -- when pushed to make a call -- suspect it will be Longshore.

The Cornhuskers will be playing Florida Atlantic, Louisiana-Lafayette and Arkansas State next season, and Western Kentucky, Idaho and Football Championship Subdivision power South Dakota State in 2010.

BCS title....(and new youtube)

Most everyone has Georgia as there #1 this year. I do not see it at all. Wouldn't be surprised if they did not even win their own conference. I am going with OU and Ohio State.
Thoughts?
